• There's speculation that Katy Perry's new song "Bandaids" is about her breakup with Orlando Bloom.
  • The song has lyrics like "You were there, but you weren't / Got so used to you letting me down."
  • The former couple confirmed the end of their relationship in July after 9 years together.

Katy Perry just dropped her new song "Bandaids," and it seemingly alludes to her split with Orlando Bloom. Quick reminder: Katy and Orlando ended their relationship earlier this year, releasing a statement in July that made it abundantly clear they're on good terms and plan to coparent their daughter together.

"Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting," the statement said. "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."

The former couple haven't spoken about the reason for their split, and Katy hasn't confirmed that "Bandaids" is about Orlando. That said, the song definitely tell the story of a breakup, with lyrics like, "You were there, but you weren't / Got so used to you letting me down" and, "It's not that complicated / To ask me how my day is / I'm flatlining trying to save this." The song also ends on a sweet note, when Katy sings "I would still do it all over again / The love that we made was worth it in the end."

Hand to God, I promised, I tried
There's no stone left unturned
It's not what you did, it's what you didn't
You were there, but you weren't
Got so used to you letting me down
No use tryna send flowers now
Telling myself you'll change, you don't
Band-Aids over a broken heart
Tried all the medications
Lowered my expectations
Made every justification
Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow
Band-Aids over a broken heart
On the bright side, we had good times
Nеver faked our pictures
Wе were perfect 'til we weren't
Now we've got too many splinters
Got so used to you letting me down
No use tryna send flowers now
Telling myself you'll change, you don't
Band-Aids over a broken heart
Tried all the medications
Lowered my expectations
Made every justification
Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow
Band-Aids over a broken heart
It's not that complicated (Uh-huh)
To ask me how my day is
I'm flatlining trying to save this
Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow
Band-Aids over a broken heart
If I had to do it all over again
I would still do it all over again
The love that we made was worth it in the end
Oh yeah, oh yeah
If I had to do it all over again
I would still do it all over again
The love that we made was worth it in the end
Oh yeah
Tried all the medications (All the medications)
Lowered my expectations (Oh-oh)
Made every justification (Oh)
Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow
Band-Aids over a broken heart
